  1.                     THE FILES ON YOUR PC-CALC+ DISKS
  2.  
  3. This information is provided so that you'll know the function of each file
  4. and program in the PC-Calc+ system.  Some of these files came with your
  5. PC-Calc+ disks.  Some of them are created during the course of using
  6. PC-Calc.
  7.  
  8. COLOR.PRO
  9. This is a profile for running PC-Calc+ on a color monitor.
  10.  
  11. CONVERT.EXE
  12. CONVERT.EXE is the import and export program.  You can convert your
  13. PC-Calc+ data to comma delimited format, DIF and 1-2-3.  Likewise, you can
  14. import your DIF and 1-2-3 data into PC-Calc+ by using the CONVERT program.
  15. CONVERT.EXE will also convert old PC-Calc data (PC-Calc versions 1.0
  16. through 3.0) into the PC-Calc+ format.

  18. filename.PCC
  19. This is the data, defaults, etc.  that you have entered into your
  20. spreadsheet.
  21.  
  22. filename.PRO
  23. This file provides profile information that will be used whenever you load
  24. it.  You may save an unlimited number of profiles for later recall.
  25.  
  26. filename.MAC
  27. This file is created when you define and save macros.  It contains the
  28. macro character strings.  You may save an unlimited number of macro files
  29. for later recall.
  30.  
  31. filename.PRN
  32. This file contains printer information.  It contains the printer control
  33. and printer port information.  You may save an unlimited number of PRN
  34. files for later recall.  The PC-Calc+ Utility Disk contains the following
  35. PRN files: EPSON.PRN for Epson and IBM dot matrix printers, OKIDATA.PRN
  36. for Okidata dot matrix printers, TANDY.PRN for Tandy (Radio Shack) DMP
  37. dot matrix printers, NEC_PIN.PRN for NEC Pinwriter dot matrix printers,
  38. TOSHIBA.PRN for Toshiba dot matrix printers and HP.PRN for HP Laser Jet
  39. printers (independent of the cartridge, courier portrait and landscape
  40. defaults).

  42. FILES
  43. This file.
  44.  
  45. GRAPH.ME
  46. This file is created by PCG2.EXE to keep track of your answers to questions
  47. about graphs.  You can run PCG2.EXE as a standalone program when the
  48. GRAPH.ME file is present.
  49.  
  50. MICPRINT.FY
  51. MICPRINT.FY and its companion file SBO.FY contain the fonts used for
  52. printing characters on graphs.  If you are using the graphics feature,
  53. these files should be in the same subdirectory with your other PC-Calc+
  54. program files.  If you never do graphs, these files can be deleted.
  55.  
  56. LOAN.PCC
  57. This is a sample spreadsheet file which can be used as a loan
  58. amortization calculator.  You can calculate either the loan amount,
  59. number of payments, interest rate or payment amount.
  60. P90.EXE
  61. P90.EXE is a sideways printing program.  It prints wide text files at 90
  62. degrees.
  63.  
  64. PCC.EXE
  65. The main program module of PC-Calc+.  It must reside either in the root
  66. directory or somewhere on the DOS PATH.

  68. PCC.HLP
  69. The help file used by PC-Calc+ whenever you press F1.  This file is
  70. optional, but highly recommended if you have room for it.  You must place
  71. it on the same drive and in the same subdirectory with PCC.EXE either in
  72. the root directory or somewhere on the DOS PATH
  73.  
  74. PCCALC.PRO
  75. A control file used by PC-Calc+ to determine your operating environment.
  76. Contains information about your printer, screen colors, etc.  It's created
  77. by the Configure command from the main menu.  This file is optional,
  78. because if it is missing PC-Calc+ will assume a standard set of defaults
  79. (no color support and IBM graphics printer).
  80.  
  81. PCG2.EXE
  82. This is the graph drawing sub-program.  If you will be doing graphs, this
  83. program must be in the same subdirectory as your other PC-Calc+ programs.
  84. If you will not be doing graphs, you can delete this program.
  85.  
  86. PRODUCTS
  87. This file contains an order form and a brief description of ButtonWare
  88. products.
  89.  
  90. READ.ME
  91. A text file provided for additional miscellaneous information.  You can
  92. view this file with any word processor that reads ASCII files, or print it
  93. on your printer with this command:

  95.     COPY A:READ.ME PRN
  96.  
  97. RESPONSE
  98. A text file containing a copy of the User Response Form.  This file may be
  99. printed out to create a feedback response form for mailing to ButtonWare.
  100. You can delete it if you wish.  However, the information ButtonWare
  101. receives on these forms is carefully evaluated.  If you want to let us know
  102. about additional features (or improvements to current ones) in PC-Calc+,
  103. please complete this form and send it to us.

  105. SAMPLE.MAC
  106. This is a sample macro file.
  107.  
  108. SBO.FY
  109. SBO.FY and its companion file MICPRINT.FY contain the fonts used for
  110. printing characters on graphs.  If you are using the graphics feature,
